Description of the project:
An Institutional strengthening, which aims to improve the mechanisms for managing water resources, is a priority for Central American Countries.
With this in view, the Central American countries have developed the PACADIRH (Plan de accion centroamericano para el desarollo integrado de los recursos hidricos). In the implementation of this plan, the cooperation programme will consist in :
- a mission on the institutional aspects
- a mission on the polluter/pays principle
- a mission on water management aiming to facilitate the definition of a regional system on water resources in Central America.
