French-Speaking World Facilitation of the "Water" portal of "Médiaterre"

For over two years, the International Office for Water (IOWater) has collaborated in the development and moderation of the "Water" portal of "Médiaterre".

 

During summer 2011, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Sustainable Development Institute of the French-speaking World (IFDD), a subsidiary branch of the International Organization for the French Speaking World (OIF), and IOWater, to collaborate to the facilitation of this portal.

 

These activities will take a new dimension in the coming months.

 

This memorandum was renewed in January 2013 and extended to the drafting of more technical articles, those particularly found in the "water and sanitation technologies" section of "Médiaterre".

 

A new step will now be reached in the coming months as IOWater proposes to upgrade the "Water" portal to become a real educational platform.

 

For this purpose, IOWater will benefit from the financial support of the Limousin Region (France) for the 2013-2015 period, via its mechanism for supporting shared projects (DISMUT).
