Turkey - In 2012, IOWater got involved in three European twinning arrangements

This European twinning on the implementation of the Water Framework Directive has been carried out by the Netherlands, France and Spain since September 2011. It aims to support the Turkish Ministry of Forestry and Water in drafting monitoring plans for six pilot river basins and a national monitoring plan. The three topics were: Implementation of the Floods Directive Transposition of the Bathing Water Directive Capacity building on water quality monitoring.
