Energy Water, an IOWater project, in the spotlight

IOWater will participate on 26 June in a technical day "Water and energy" organized in Metz by the Hydreos competitiveness cluster, then, from 3 to 5 July 2018 in Pau, at GeoEnergy Days, an international business convention organized by POLE AVENIA, and whose conferences and workshops will focus on export business and on water in the subsoil resource development industries.

IOWater will present Energy Water, a European project in which it is a partner and which aims at providing support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to improve the energy performance of hydraulic processes.

Energywater is part of this European desire to increase energy efficiency by 20% and has the following objectives:

• To improve the competitiveness of European Union industries by reducing their energy costs for process water management by 20%,
• To reduce energy consumption by manufacturing companies by 26 GWh/year by implementing measures to increase their energy efficiency,
• To identify the best strategies already deployed in the field in order to apply them to other companies (benchmarking and benchlearning),
• To allow companies to self-assess themselves through an online computer tool that they will fill out anonymously and that will allow them to know their ranking in relation to other similar companies of similar size and activities,
• To create a network of key players, the'Energy Angels Network', bringing together energy saving experts, producers of innovative technologies and financiers, in order to provide a wide range of services to companies,
• To involve public policy makers throughout the project to ensure the removal of potential barriers (regulatory and non-regulatory) surrounding energy-saving measures implementation projects.
