03/10/2018

From October 05 to November 06, 2018, the "Climate Train" will travel throughout New Aquitaine for a tour of 6 cities, co-organized with the AcclimaTerra scientific committee with the support of the New Aquitaine Region.

After Angoulême, Poitiers, and before Bordeaux, Biarritz and Agen, the climate train will stop from 17 to 19 October in Limoges.

The associated events will take place in the station and in the city:

  • On board the "Climate Train": a journey to discover the past, present and future climates of the planet.

In the four cars of a train specially equipped by SNCF, you will discover the mechanisms of natural variability, how human activities influence the climate, up to solutions and governance issues. Researchers from all disciplines, grouped together in the "The Climate Messengers" collective, will accompany you to discuss the latest scientific advances.

  • In town: 3 days of participatory conferences on climate change and solutions.

You will meet local actors who act for the climate, to engage in dialogue and debate around the challenges and solutions of your territory.

The International Office for Water will participate in a round table on 17 October from 5 to 7 p.m. on the theme "Small streams make big rivers: why are small streams near springs so important for the quality and quantity of our water? »
