Description of the project: 

The Autonom Public Service for Water and Electricity Providing of Marrakech (RADEEMA) contracted SGI Ingénierie to realize a global technical assistance mission upon the management of its sanitation assets.

The main components aimed by the project were:

  • The sewage network
  • The waste water treatment plant (whom primary treatment was just built)
  • A project of treated waste water reuse for the irrigation of golf structures and a palmgrove

The assignments allocated to the consortium were:

  • The Sanitation sector audit
  • The support to the operation

Within this contract, IOWater’s assignment was to design a training plan for RADEEMA allowing the setup of relevant trainings for its staff specialized in sanitation, at the lowest cost possible. To reach this objective, the following tasks were achieved:

  • Analysis of the organigrams
  • Harmonization of the status and tasks of RADEEMA’s various internal services
  • Analysis of the needs, taking into account the evolution of management systems towards modern criteria
  • Interviews with key-staff
  • Propositions for an optimized internal organization
  • Propositions of adjustments to improve the existing resources
  • Propositions of training sessions to suit the identified future needs
Description of services provided by IOW: 
  • Definition of RADEEMA’s training needs, while integrating various priority levels
  • Design of a training masterplan for RADEEMA’s sanitation service staff: number of sessions, duration, targeted audience, contents of each training, required trainers
